My father wants me to play golf... what do I do?
Ok I used to play when I was younger and it was fine. I have nothing against the sport i find it enjoyable to play but boring to watch... He really really wants me to play golf. he wants me to take lessons this summer but I dont really want to have to drive an hour to a golf course for lesson. When I have to worry about art classes, volunteering and getting into college right now. The main thing is that he is telling me I will regret it. That playing 18 holes with someone will tell you more about that person than an interview. That he wishes he started earlier. That ppl pay millions of dollars just to join a club so it must be good (I think that is a poor reason for why someone should want to play golf but that's what he said). I don't have anything against the sport but does anyone here have the same feelings as my dad. That it is truly some sort of magial sport that I will regret not pursuing in the long run? Is it worth adding to my schedule?
Its really your choice and not someone elses. I think its a great sport i ven play it myself. But is your scheduel is to hectic then wait off for a little while till you have more time because golf is a sport that takes alot of time.
