Do you know what this might be worth?
I have got a Maud Humphrey signed lithograph.(It's a reproduction, was published in 1996.) I actually have a set of two. One has a blonde girl holding a bird, the other a little boy holding a bird. I've done research and can only find one other pic of the girl, but it was small and was on ceramic. They are rather large, maybe 24 X 12,something like that. Thanks
Actually Maud is his MOTHER,not his aunt. It could be him, dunno, don't think I've ever seen a pic of him as a child.
Not much, sorry. It's not like she actually signed it by hand after her death. There could be unlimited numbers of a reproduction of a lithograph. It might be interesing though if you can find out if the boy is Humphrey Bogart. Maude was an aunt of Humphrey and often drew him as a baby and child, in fact he was the famous "Humphrey Baby" who often appeared in magazine adds of the time.
The Top 5 Love Stories of All Time on Satellite TV
To dream a little dream and watch the stars fall in love is a big part of the movies. The great Hollywood love stories have captivated viewers since the beginning of film history, and these are the top five ever filmed, now playing on satellite TV.
5. Harold and Maude. Though mock suicide attempts and compulsive funeral attendance are not usually the stuff love stories are made on, this film makes it work. Hal Ashby’s 1971 cult classic tells the tale of a death-obsessed young man and his relationship with a woman of nearly eighty years old. The moral of this hilarious, touching film is: It’s not how you connect, it’s just that you connect, with whomever can make you happy. Check your satellite TV program guide for show times.
4. The Apartment. The first act of this comedy unromantically features New York executives offering a promotion for C.C. Baxter (Jack Lemmon) in exchange for the use of his apartment for extra-marital trysts. When a cute elevator operator (Shirley MacLaine) leaves Baxter hanging for a scheduled date, he returns home in dejected fashion to discover the same woman in his bed in the midst of a suicide attempt. A completely original, winning love story, it showcases Jack Lemmon at his most charming on Turner Classic Movies in HD.
3. Dirty Dancing. What would the ’80s be without it? The film that started a craze for dance classes (and Patrick Swayze in general) is the tale of a rich girl (Jennifer Grey) and the wrong-side-of-the-tracks guy who steals her heart. Despite the family’s objections and odds stacked against them, it will come down to a final dance performance to decide their fate. This film is in heavy rotation on satellite TV.
2. Casablanca. A tale of star-crossed lovers, Casablanca is one of the most unforgettable films of all time. Humphrey Bogart shows how to take rejection like a man, and also how to shun personal love in hopes of serving a higher good -- whether she agrees or not. With the backdrop of Nazi-occupied French Africa adding plenty of atmosphere, the concepts of idealism, friendship and doomed love are all developed by director Michael Curtiz. With the advent of high definition technology, you can watch this film in excellent conditions even at home.
1. Roman Holiday. It may be impossible to top the all-time best love story starring Gregory Peck and Audrey Hepburn. Set in a gloriously filmed Rome, this William Wyler film features the debut of screen goddess Hepburn and Peck at his exquisite peak. Can an undercover princess and a down-and-out hack journalist find true love in twenty-four hours? You would be hard-pressed to convince anyone it could happen, but Wyler made one of the Dream Factory’s supreme achievements come off without a hitch.
A captivating love story can remind us why we have such a long-term affair with the movies.
