I'd like to add metallic text to my photo?
I have a photo in which I'd like metallic text to the lower corner it would be 8 characters long. Is there some sort of thing I can do to add this metallic stuff to the photo? I'd prefer gold, but anything else will work. I am not looking for a gold color font, I actually want the text engraved on the photo.
Get a GFX program like GIMP or Photoshop.
Type text.
Create a clipping mask:
1) go to Layer > Transparency > Alpha to Selection
2) make a new layer with a gold preset gradient
3) go to Layer > Mask > Selection
4) Click ok.
Finally remove the original Text layer and add a border.
Done.
